HowdyForms is published by Lobster Claw Software LLC ("we", "us"). By installing or using HowdyForms ("the App") you agree to these terms.

1. What the App does

HowdyForms is an offline lead-capture tool. You build forms, run them in kiosk mode at events or open houses, review the leads on your device, and export them as CSV or local backup files. Your forms and leads are stored locally on your device. We do not host them.

2. Free app with a one-time unlock purchase

HowdyForms is free to download. Building forms, kiosk mode, PIN security, folders, capturing leads, viewing the leads list, deleting leads, and importing backups are free. A single optional one-time in-app purchase through Apple App Store or Google Play unlocks viewing and editing lead details, star ratings, tags, notes, CSV export, and backup creation. The unlock is not a subscription and does not renew. It is tied to the app store account you buy it with; use the Restore Purchases option to bring it to a reinstall or a new device signed in to that same store account. This version has no ads, no account sign-in, no cloud backup, and no cloud sync. Refund requests must be made through the store you purchased from, in line with that store's policy.

3. Your data and your responsibilities

You own the forms, leads, images, ratings, notes, tags, CSV files, backup files, and other content you create with HowdyForms. We claim no ownership rights over that content.

You are responsible for deciding what information to collect, giving any required notices, obtaining any required consents, and using the information you collect in compliance with applicable laws. Do not use the App to collect information unlawfully or to collect sensitive, regulated, or prohibited information unless you have the legal right to do so.

You are responsible for protecting your device, PINs, exported CSV files, exported backup files, and any copies you share outside the App. Exported files may contain personal information about leads or other people.

4. Backups and data loss

HowdyForms stores your data locally on your device. You are responsible for making and protecting backups if you need to preserve your data. Deleting forms, deleting leads, restoring a backup, uninstalling the App, losing your device, or device failure may result in data loss.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to reverse-engineer or tamper with it, interfere with its operation, use it to violate someone else's rights, or do anything that violates the terms of the Apple App Store or Google Play.

6. PIN recovery

PIN recovery email is optional. If you use it, your PIN is sent to the backup email address you provide. Email is less private than keeping your PIN only on your device. You are responsible for using an email address you control and for changing your PIN if you believe that email account is compromised.

7. No warranty; limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lobster Claw Software LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including data loss, business interruption, lost profits, or claims arising from information you collect with the App. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the App, including any in-app purchase.

8. Changes

We may update these terms when the App changes materially. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
